We would like to share with you some of our pictures
and videos from this year's Phoenix Matsuri.

My wife and I have been attending it for the past 3 years.
We wait all year with great anticipation to meet our friends,
and see the great performances in all the stages
.

We love the art work of every year's Matsuri poster.

Here is the Matsuri website so you can put it in your favorites for next year!

 Program Schedule

We started early in the morning with a great warm brunch from Kirin Wok.
Their service as always exceptional!

We were there most part of the day, so we had a great opportunity to walk around and visit all of the vendors.

The Martial Arts performances, as usual were very interesting.

This year's Cosplay contest was definitely one of the best, and there were
tons of contestants.

We were also treated to a great Cosplay show from the "Tokyo Girls," produced by Keiko Conn. We've had the chance to attend a couple of Conn-san's productions and they are very creative. Very nice costumes and something new we had never seen at Phoenix Matsuri. Hope we can get a picture and interview with Ms Conn for you next year. She was very busy this time.

There is absolutely no Matsuri without the great performances of the Taiko Teams.

A couple of drums

And we had a great time listening to Kitsune Robot and Toy Box.

Our camera ran out of batteries so we could not record Toy Box this year.
Which really sucks, but here is nice video from Kitsune Robot.

LD edit: This is Kitsune Robot. I love these guys. I have a lot of respect for them. The weather was terrible, it had just finished raining, but they still set up and played for us. They have a killer lead guitarrist, one cute singer with equally cute voice, but they desperately need a sound person upfront to adjust settings . The guitar drowned the vocals almost entirely, and I don't know who the Matsuri guy at the sound board was but he didn't bother fixing their volume even though a few people got up and told him we couldn't hear the vocals. It was frustrating because they were playing pretty good. Hope to see them again next year.
